Early Church History

Dear AnnieI compiled these Tellout Digital Evangelism Programs over a forty-five-year Christian ministry in Britain and Canada. They contain many inspirational quotes, sermon illustrations, Bible studies, notes on early church history, and devotional stories. Some of these pages are pure Bible Studies to encourage and educate. Others are church growth commentaries. Resources seek answers to questions like "what is love?" and "was God one of us?" They tackle pressing issues Christians face in modern society. Several ebooks on this website, including "The Evangelism Handbook," published in 1982 in paperback format, are fully reproduced here. These ePages contains many practical insights, evangelism resources, light-hearted, and other explanations and illustrations for the ordinary Christian person and evangelist. "Journey into Life" is also published here with the British publisher and author's gracious permission.

Glimpse of Glory
(88 Bible Studies)

"Glimpse of Glory" is an expository Bible study of the Book of Revelation. John of Patmos, the disciple whom Jesus loved, recounts these beautiful things in a vision for the Christian church's encouragement.

Brothers in God
(28 Bible Studies)

"Brothers in God" is a series of Biblical studies on the relationship between Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Heavenly Father. Understanding the Holy Spirit and Jesus' connection and how that bond affects Christians is essential to Christian growth and maturity.

The Household of Faith
(46 Parts)

"The Household of Faith" is a new approach to church growth based on the Early Church model. This program forms households of faith to nourish Christians spiritually. It divides and doubles its membership every two years, and its relational evangelism depends on developing household friendships. Characteristics, organization, and worship models are a reflection of the Early Church record. It explains how to set up a household of faith, the faith covenant, and worship alternatives and resources. Saint Paul writes in Galatians 6.10, "So then, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith" (English Standard Version). "The Household of Faith" program was commissioned jointly by the Church Army in Canada and The Anglican Diocese of Toronto. ✞

The Mystical Body of Christ
(37 Bible Studies)

The Mystical Body of Christ explores the Body of Christ's Biblical concept. Saint Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 12.12-14, "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit to form one body — whether Jewish persons or Gentiles, slave or free — and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so, the body makes up not one part but many. The Mystical Body comes in several forms applying to personal and church life. This eBook is a study tool to explore the Mystical Body's several emanations. A study group can then use these principles in their personal and church lives. The mystical body arises from the Roman Empire Early Church model of Christian households. It is a valuable and relevant way for Third Millennium ministry growth. The mystical body appears in small groups, institutions, denominations, and individuals who move God's kingdom towards the universal, global, and future heavenly kingdom. Some of the more popular subject pages covered in the Body of Christ study include String Theory Heaven, Unique Personal Names, and The Mystical Body of Christ.

The Evangelism Handbook

The Demographic Shift
(7 Demographics Studies)

Areas of the Brain"The Demographic Shift" examines the Canadian, US, and British institutional churches shrinking beliefs in the population over the last twenty years. The "Baby Boomer's Twelve Tribes" is ideal as a presentation and discussion starter for management and church boards. It seeks to help lay and clergy leaders become more aware of the needs and characteristics of the elders, the baby boom generation, generation X, the millennials, the zoomers, and the snowflakes in today's society. It teaches Christians to evangelize successfully. A management board presentation on the baby boom and millennial generations attempts to understand their needs and characteristics. The group develops appropriate strategies to attract each generation. This section focuses on the changing elements in the third millennium. Using demographics research, it seeks to understand the twelve tribes. It encompasses the Elders (Playing by the Rules), the Baby Boom Generation (Breaking the Mould), the Generation Xers (Hotwired), Millennials, and Generation Y. Unwrapping each group's characteristics can then enable the redirection of the church's energies to meet their needs. Research material is drawn from the book "Half the Congregation" by Robert McGribbon, "Sex in the Snow," "Better Happy than Rich" by Michael Adams, and "Boom, Bust, and Echo" by David K. Foot. The reports also use Statistics Canada Reports and other related sources like "Restless Gods" by Reginald Bibby. ✞
