Honor of Jesus Day 44
"Jesus answered: 'Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father'"1 To believe him was to believe God. Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me."2 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."3
Receiving God
To receive him was to receive God "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."4 To hate him was to hate God "He who hates me hates my Father as well."5 To honor him was to honor God "that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him."6
