Bodily Form

Bodily Form GodIn Colossians 2.9, Saint Paul made the astounding statement, "For in Christ all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form." Titus wrote in Titus 2.13, "While we wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." The verse "all the fullness of deity" is compared with "the glory of our great God." Here Jesus was described as "the great God and Savior." Like the Lord God, Jesus had "a throne" to sit upon and "a scepter" to hold to indicate his power. The writer to the Hebrews 1.8 said, "But about the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.'"

Your Throne

Symbol for EternityThe epistle writer in 1 John 5.20b further exalted the person of Jesus as "the true God and eternal life." It continued, "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." The great marvel here was that fragile and sinful human beings have been blessed so that we could know "the true God and eternal life." as a friend and companion. Do you realize who the eternal true Jesus really is?✞
