Scripture Clearly Acknowledges

CreationIn the opening of John's Gospel, the scripture clearly acknowledged Jesus Christ as the Co-Creator God. At the beginning of time he was with the Holy Spirit and the Father. Jesus was called "the Word." in John 1.1-3 clearly stating, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." Here we saw Jesus as the Co-Creator, and the Word. Saint Paul in Colossians 16.15-17 reinforced what Sain John had written, "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Jesus Christ is Lord

NazarethJesus told the people whom he was but his age and origins were questioned by the ordinary people from his home town of Nazareth. They said, "You are not yet fifty years old," they said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!" Jesus responded in John 8.57-58, "before Abraham was born, I am!" This phrase, Jesus the Co-Creator God, sounds innocent enough, until one realizes that to the Jews it was the worst kind of blasphemy for Jesus, who was in their eyes an ordinary human being, to call himself God at all.
