Jesus Heal Day 29
Jesus' deity and lordship extends still further into the realm of health care. He could, as God only can, completely heal individuals. We have become so reliant on medical science and the care of doctors and nurses that we have lost the truth that it is only God who can heal.
In a little house, which still stands today, on the shores of Galilee at a place called Capernaum, Jesus healed Simon Peter's mother-in-law. He had just left the synagogue, the remains of which still stand. The story reads, "Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them."1
