Jesus Christ's Bride (Revelation 19.10)

"At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, 'Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.'" (Revelation 19.10)✞

God's Dedicated People

LinenThere was probably never a time in history in which such forces were drawn up against the Church as when the Book of Revelation was written. Christians were called upon to undergo great suffering and to accept the prospect of a cruel death for testifying to their faith. And yet in such times John calls God, "pantokrator," which means, "the Almighty!" Their Faith and confidence are vindicated in this passage. The Church, Jesus Christ's bride, is clothed in fine linen, pure and shining. There is here a startling contrast with the scarlet and gold of the great harlot. The white linen of Jesus' bride represents the purity of God's dedicated people. It is characteristic of the wedding dress of the pure bride.✞
