Mount Zion Lamb
(Revelation 14.1-2)
Page 199

"Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps." (Revelation 14.1-2)

Marked Welsh Sheep

Marked Welsh Sheep in FieldThere now followed a tender vision of the Mount Zion lamb and his companions. The number one hundred and forty-four thousand represented the complete group of believers who had endured persecutions on earth, were pure, and were now ready to enjoy the eternal benefits and blessings of eternal life with God. These were numbered as twelve by twelve by one thousand special saints. Twelve represented all humanity being three the number for God and four being the number for humans. They were followers of the Lamb and gathered on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the traditional place where the true remnant, the Israel of faith, was to be gathered in the messianic reign. They were marked as belonging to the Mount Zion Lamb with his sign on their foreheads. This was in contrast to the pagans hoards who were marked with the name or number of the beast. True believers are indeed spiritually pure and remain faithful to Christ, free from involvement with a pagan world system. They are Jesus' first fruits being dedicated as the first part of the harvest as holy unto God.
