Every Male Offspring

Jewish BoyGenesis 17.12 tells us, "For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner, those who are not your offspring. Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant." Genesis 17.23 reads, "On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in Abraham's household or bought with his money, every male in Abraham's household, and Abraham household circumcision, as God told him."

Abraham Pleads for Sodom

Genesis 18.19 explains, "For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him." Genesis 24.7 tells us, "The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father Abraham's household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, 'To your offspring I will give this land' - he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there."
