Parish with No Church Building Diagram

Sometimes a church building has to be sold because of lack of support or finances or a new housing estate is built without a church building. In every area, there will probably be a small group of keen Christians who would like to continue to meet and worship together in their local area. A Household of Faith is an ideal solution for this situation. Sometimes a church has to be closed due to a dwindling congregation or heavy financial overheads.

According to research, when a church closes only half of its attendees go to another church, and only a quarter of these go to a church of the same denomination. Thus when a church closes only one in four of its members affiliate with another congregation of the same denomination. Establishing one or a series of Households of Faith could provide a developing spiritual presence in that area with an umbilical chord link to a church or denomination elsewhere.
