Spiritual Water 68

The Holy Spirit enlivens all creation and engineers the rejuvenation of plant and animal life. Without his constant fondling, all creation would stop cold and dead in an instant. Behind the "mother nature" smoke screen propagated by our secular society, moves the real worker, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes at baptism, as on many other occasions in our lives to bless us. The sacramental water of baptism hides beneath its ripples the flowing blessing of God.

Spirit Around Us

Surfer The crew were dying of thirst. Another ship appeared and hailed it asking if there was anything they needed. The crew shouted back "Water!" The sailors on the second ship simply pointed over the side at the water all around them. It was the fresh water of the mighty Amazon River which poured out many miles into the ocean. Nourishing fresh water was all around but they were still dying of thirst. They did not know of the thirst quenching stream all around them. Even so

"God's resources are all around us if we will only take them.
