Live Celibate Lives

LOVE word"Holiness" means being "dedicated or devoted to the service of God, the church, or religion as in a saintly, godly, pious devout or holy life." The word "holy" originated in Middle English before 900 AD as "holi" and in Middle English as "halig." For the Christian, holiness or "to be holy" is the highest of callings. As a group of Christians, the Holy Body of Christ flies in the face of our modern secular society because it is holy. The Word of God urges a number of things for holy Christians,

Word of God

Dove in CloudsThe holy Body of Christ is to be wholly free from the selfish attitudes of the promiscuous society we were living in. Every Christian should remain celibate and holy in body and mind until he or she marries a person of the opposite sex. The God fearing man or woman obeys the Bible, the Word of God. We were commanded in God's Word in Leviticus 11.44, "So you must be holy, because I, the Lord your God, am holy." Saint Peter added in 1 Peter 1.15-16, "But as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy."
